Dr. Thomas Quilter - Dentist at St. Johns Dental Clinic, Tralee

Tom graduated from University College Cork in 1995. Following graduation, he spent three years working in Kent, England, where he developed his clinical skills across all areas of general dentistry.

In 1998, Tom returned home to Kerry and took over the practice of Dr Myles Foley on Ashe Street, Tralee. He has been caring for patients there ever since. Over the years, he has built lasting relationships with generations of local families and is proud to have established a practice centred on trust, quality and patient care.

While Tom enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, he has a particular interest in the management of TMJ disorders, bruxism, clenching and grinding, snoring and sleep apnoea, as well as Six Month Smiles® Orthodontics, aesthetic dentistry and emergency dental care. Tom is passionate about continuing education and is committed to staying up to date with the latest advances in dentistry. He has completed extensive postgraduate training, including regular courses with Tipton Training in Manchester, and routinely attends postgraduate programmes and conferences throughout Ireland, the UK and the USA. He also has a keen interest in dental technology and how modern techniques can improve patient care.

What began as a practice with just Tom and one member of staff has grown into St John’s Dental Clinic, a thriving team of four dentists, three hygienists, a practice manager and four dental nurses. Tom is incredibly proud of the team and believes their dedication, professionalism and patient-first approach have been the driving force behind the clinic’s success and the many patient referrals it continues to receive.
